Stewards are the backbone of our union. Stewards are not representatives—they’re organizers, educators, and leaders. As a steward, you’re helping build real power in the warehouse by making sure every worker is informed, connected, and ready to take action.

What Stewards Do — Each steward is responsible for about twenty workers in their department and shift. Your role includes:

• Organizing Conversations: Checking in regularly with your group of twenty workers, hearing concerns, and helping build trust and confidence.

• Education: Making sure your group understands our rights, our campaigns, and our approach to building power in the workplace.

• Mobilization: Turning out your group for actions, getting petition signatures, rally attendance, and—when the time comes—helping prepare for strike action.

• Support & Leadership: Being a visible, reliable point of contact for questions, support, and organizing.
