OUR CORE PRINCIPLES

Democracy

We are a rank-and-file union rooted in radical democracy. Power in our union flows from the bottom up through collective decision-making, open debate, and direct participation. We build leadership from the shop floor and hold ourselves accountable to one another. Every member has the right to speak, vote, lead, and shape the direction of our struggle. We reject backroom deals, top-down leadership, and bureaucracy because no one can speak for us—we speak and fight for ourselves.

Class Struggle and Worker Control

We are in active conflict with corporate power. Amazon’s vast profits are built on our exploitation. Our fight is not simply about wages or benefits; it’s a struggle against capitalism, colonialism, white supremacy, and all systems that treat working people as disposable. We envision a worker-controlled Amazon, where the people who do the work make the decisions. We are not here to win a seat at the table but to build a new table altogether. This is a movement for liberation, led by workers for workers.

Strategic Militancy

We organize with courage, discipline, a clear sense of purpose, and the knowledge that disruption is a source of power. We’re not afraid to walk out, strike, rally, or confront Amazon through coordinated, strategic action because we know when we act together, our demands are impossible to ignore. Confrontation is not a last resort but a deliberate, necessary tool that we wield with unity and precision. We know that fear is real, but our power is greater when we fight side by side.

Justice, Solidarity, and Internationalism

Our fight for dignity at Amazon is inseparable from the fight for justice everywhere. We organize against racism, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, and every form of structural oppression that divides, exploits, and dehumanizes us. We know Amazon profits from global inequality, so we build deep, unwavering global solidarity. From Staten Island to San Bernardino, from Bangladesh to Bessemer, we stand with workers across warehouses, industries, borders, and movements because an injury to one is an injury to all.

Power Through Organization

Our greatest power lies in our ability to organize patiently, persistently, and strategically. Real change comes not from individual grievances or outside intervention, but from united workers taking collective action. We build power through education, deep relationships, democratic structure, and disciplined planning. Organizing is long-haul work and we’re in this for the future, not just to win demands, but to transform what’s possible for workers everywhere.

Care and Collective Responsibility

In a system that dehumanizes and isolates us, care is a radical act. We build a union culture rooted in mutual care and shared responsibility, where we lift up the most vulnerable, protect each other from harm, and create solidarity infrastructure to support each other in times of need. We believe that care isn’t a side project but how we sustain the struggle and make sure no one gets left behind. Our commitment to each other is what turns a union into a movement.
