The Amazon Labor Union–IBT Local 1 is a worker-led union committed to transforming conditions at one of the most powerful corporations in the world. We are a fighting union—built by and for Amazon workers—who refuse to accept exploitation as the cost of survival.
Founded by warehouse workers at the JFK8 Fulfillment Center in Staten Island, New York, we organize to win dignity, safety, justice, and lasting power for Amazon employees, especially the Black, brown, immigrant, disabled, LGBTQ+, and working-class communities who form the backbone of Amazon’s global operations.
We are building a bold and democratic labor movement grounded in equity, solidarity, and grassroots leadership. We reject the status quo of corporate domination, political inaction, and top-down unionism.
Our mission is to forge a militant, worker-led movement at Amazon—one that inspires workers everywhere to rise up, organize, and take power into our own hands.
