Stand with Amazon Workers Fighting for Safety:
Every day, workers are injured while trying to fulfill Amazon orders. And instead of working to make warehouses safer, Amazon treats these injuries as the cost of doing business. The United States Senate investigated, and found that Amazon warehouses recorded over 30 percent more injuries than the warehousing industry average in 2023.
Amazon is a $2.3 trillion corporation. It made over $36 billion in profits last year alone. Its founder is the 2nd richest man on Earth. It must not be allowed to treat its workers as disposable.
Amazon workers are rising up and fighting back – building worker-led organizing committees, launching walkouts and strikes, and preparing for the next phase of direct action. Amazon customers value the convenience Amazon offers, but no one should suffer a life-altering injury for the sake of 2-day shipping.
Now, ALU-IBT Local 1 is inviting the public to stand with workers and help us hold Amazon accountable. Because workplace safety isn’t just a worker issue — it’s a human rights issue.
At the center of this fight is the Safety Bill of Rights, a document written by the rank-and-file workers of Amazon Labor Union-IBT Local 1. The Safety Bill of Rights is not a list of suggestions; we are demanding that Amazon act immediately to ensure our safety or expect an end to business as usual. These are non-negotiable demands born out of daily pain, injury, retaliation, and abuse on the shop floor.
We are calling on labor, community, and political allies to sign on in full support—not just with words, but with action. This petition is your entry point into a growing movement that will not stop until Amazon is forced to the bargaining table and workers win the safety, dignity, and power they are owed.

We, the undersigned individuals and organizations, declare our full support for the Amazon Labor Union-IBT Local 1 Safety Bill of Rights and the workers leading the fight to win it.
Amazon’s warehouses are injury mills. Its business model is built on dehumanization, high turnover, and corporate violence disguised as “efficiency.” Workers are pushed to the limit, monitored like machines, and discarded when broken. This is not innovation—it’s exploitation.
Amazon workers are done waiting. They are organizing, escalating, and preparing to strike again if necessary. At the heart of this campaign are five non-negotiable demands:
Right to Safe Staffing Levels
Right to Humane Accommodations
Right to Safe Equipment and Workspaces
Right to Safe Temperatures and Clean Air
Right to Safe Pace of Work and Real Breaks
These demands are not up for debate. They are the baseline for what every Amazon worker deserves. The workers of ALU-IBT Local 1 are building the power necessary to force Amazon to concede—and they are prepared to escalate through strikes, legal action, and political confrontation.
We pledge to:
Publicly endorse the Safety Bill of Rights
Support the ongoing campaign through mobilization, amplification, and action
Help increase the cost of Amazon’s inaction until the company is forced to negotiate in good faith
This is a fight for safety. A fight for dignity. A fight for power on the job. And it’s only just beginning.
